The fabric created by working one strand of Linen/Rayon and one strand of Alpaca together is a tweedy, soft, and firm fabric. The linen could easily be substituted for a light sock weight wool, which would give the fabric more bounce.
The pinstripes, created by working the linen strand only, are subtle, sophisticated, and sexy. Simple lines, turned cuff, and short row heel make this an easy sock to knit, but a great addition to your wardrobe.

These socks are worked from the cuff down with a provisional cast on and a facing. The facing is joined by working live stitches from the needles together with live stitches from the provisional cast on. Most of the sock is worked holding one strand of each yarn together, and the pinstripe is created by working a slip stitch column of JUST the linen yarn. The pattern includes a short row heel, and a wedge toe.

Sizing for this pattern is worked for a 7, 8 & 9 inch (18, 20.5, 23 cm) foot. Foot size should be measured as circumference around the foot just above the ball of the foot. Negative ease is built in. For feet between sizes, chose the larger size as the fabric is not very stretchy (unless you are swapping out a wool for the linen)
