It is GORGEOUS! Speaking of books, this just looks so very Elizabeth Bennett to me. Erin was a perfect model for your shoot, too! Just lovely, lovely, lovely. Gush, gush, gush, and all that. Nice job.

Wow! I’m almost finished with Icarus and you lambast me with Hidcote? As a lavender farmer I may have to buy this pattern.

Oh wow!!!! It is a thing of beauty. If only I had the patience to do all those stitches. (I read and watch tv while knitting)

It came out beautifully! What a neat idea, to section the shawl like a garden. I love the lavender motif at the bottom edge!

arrgghh…i happen to have at least 1300 yds of some lovely laceweight from Dave Daniel’s Cabin Cove in a gorgeous handdyed lavendar. If only I’d finish Icarus and Seraphim II. If ONLY I had time to knit again. But I’m buying it anyway :)
love your patterns Mim – you rock the lace shawls!! and thanks for making a big one!!

Mim, this shawl is absolutely breathtaking. You have such a gift for lace and I love the story behind each shawl you design.

That’s just so lovely. This may be the one that brings me round to triangular shawls.

Hi Mim! It was wonderful to meet you in person today at the Fiber Festival. The shawl pattern is simply gorgeous! You designing talents are to be much envied. I ended up buying the red Misti Alpaca laceweight for an Adamas shawl. I’m looking forward to starting it. And, now I’ll have to put the Hidcote shawl on my list as a must-make-sometime item.

Squeeee!!!! As Carole says..it’s just fabulous. Susan has the beginning lace and you have the lace to end all…so, so beautiful. I can’t wait to find the PERFECT yarn.

Lovely. I have Hidcote Lavendar in my garden, and someday, I’ll have a Hidcote shawl in the shawl drawer.

Love it! This is definitely going to find its way into my queue of things to do!
By the way, I’m working on the phone interview thing. It has something to do with a program called Gizmo – and I’ll be working on it when I get back from vacation.
Congrats on the pattern.

Hi Miriam,
The shawl is beutiful :-)
I was just browsing through your store and noticed a little bug.. when you click on the “shawls” link on the left menu it shows three of the old shawls but instead of the new shawl pattern the “eleanora socks” pattern appears on the top. The new shawl appears when you ask to see all of the patterns.
Just thought you might want to know :-)

Your new shawl pattern inspired my subconscious to recall that I had a paypal account a couple years ago. Lo & behold, the account was still active. I threw all other plans for my Labor Day out the window (the garage cleaning can wait.) & I finished chart #1 today.
I think I may actually have visited the inspiration garden many, many years ago as a child.
Great job on the pattern. I love it so far. (& I finally understand what people are talking about when they wish Addi’s were more pointed.)

I just purchased the pattern last night (along with lightweight Mtn Peaks) and can’t wait to get started! I think I may even have the perfect yarn for this shawl… a swatch will tell.

I’m so glad I finally had a quiet moment to surf blogs again, Mim. Good heavens, but that is absolutely gorgeous! Going to purchase it now.

Thanks for the heads up on charts 4 & 5 — it was very timely! I think I’ve found the YO’s you mentioned on my blog, by comparison with charts 2 & 3.
I’m still loving the pattern, & have figured out a trick for the Addi needles with the CDD. (I knit continental, so I can hold the two slipped stitches against the needle with my right hand to keep the stitches loose enough to be picked up to slip.)

Of course the shawl is beautiful–that’s to be expected from your expertly nimble fingers and mind.
But what a gorgeous model! ;)
